These tacos are so healthy and tasty – and they are ready in a snap! Using individual spices to make a customized mix reduces salt and sugar content and produces smoky, warm, flavorful (not hot or spicy) taco meat.
Swapping out turkey for beef makes this a super healthy meal. Ground beef (70/30) has over 50% more calories and 34 times more fat than its ground turkey breast counterpart! Believe me – with the spice mix added to the meat, you will not miss the beef! This recipe is so versatile – serve it with traditional corn tacos or any variety of tortillas. For the ultimate healthy choice, serve as a lettuce wrap – only 101 calories and 2 grams of fat per wrap. Finish off with your favorite toppings – tomatoes, salsa, cheese, sour cream, avocado, lettuce – the possibilities are endless!
